If you, like the other 95% of us, are puzzled. don't readily have an answer. that's good! Awareness is the first step toward taking affirmative action.
I could have taught Danielle these Scripture verses: 1 Thessalonians 5:17; James 1:27; Philippians 4:4 and many more. but instead the same Truth flowed from her heart with the simplicity of Heaven. It's a wisdom only the childlike can comprehend.
It took a month or so for me to somewhat adjust to this reality. But the overall realization was that it didn't matter what I drove that made me me, To my Ego it was, but not to my true self. Proof to this came later that summer, as a young decent looking 22 year old, I went out with more beautiful girls, driving them around in that old farm truck, having more fun than one should, all because I was finally completely happy with me, my true self. The new truck was just a mere image of whom my Ego wanted me to be, but what the ego wants will almost always clash with the true self.

As together we write our life stories, we are challenging each other with these kinds of questions. We're intentionally creating an environment - a culture - where we're creating a living legacy. in some cases, a whole new family legacy! If it's broken, why pass it on to the next generation?
Before leaving, make sure to agree to discuss marital problems only and what you can do to solve them while you're vacationing. Remember, no talk about the kids, work and previous disagreements. If you can, think ahead of possible solutions so that it would be easy for you to settle the issues while you're away.
