Crackdown is now Available for free and is Playable On Xbox One

The original Crackdown was a huge success for Xbox 360 -- packed-in access to the Halo 3 beta didn't hurt - and now Xbox players can revisit 2007 for the low, low cost of nothing. The game's digital price has been removed without explanation or even announcing it. However, it is possible that this is tied to the XO18 Mexico event this weekend, at which Phil Spencer, Xbox chief will be there. It will include an hour-long Inside Xbox stream on Saturday at 4pm ET. It will include information concerning Crackdown 3, Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and Forza Horizon 4. MPSERVERS There will also be a dozen Game Pass announcements and "a surprise or two surprises.."

Crackdown 3 has been quiet for some time. Hopefully, giving people an experience of the original Crackdown 3 could help generate anticipation for the upcoming series due out in 2019. It's a good idea despite some delays and poor showings. Agents, Crackdown is now available in backwards compatible for Xbox One -- and upgraded again on the more powerful Xbox One X -- starting February. Just click the link to download it.
