The requirements mentioned above are sufficient for 1-4 players. If you're interested in setting up a dedicated server, check out this article on Minecraft Wiki.

Once you've met the requirements follow this step-by-step guide to establish servers:

#1 - Download the server.jar file

Download the server.jar file from Minecraft's official website. The server.jar file is available on the Minecraft official site. After downloading, make sure the file name is minecraft_server.1.XX.X.jar, where XX.X is the version.

Create a folder titled "Minecraft Server" to store server-related files.

#2 - Open command prompt

The next step is to open the command prompt. Minecraft servers Look for the command prompt on the start menu. Type "java-version" to determine if java is installed or not.

Change your directory to the "Minecraft Server" folder that contains the jar file. Copy the address from the file manager and then enter "cd" to copy the folder address. Hit Enter to change the directory to the server folder.

For example, cdC:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Minecraft Server

After you've changed the directory, enter Java -jar "name of your jar".jar" in the command prompt, and then press enter. Although it will display an error, there's no need to be concerned.

#3 - Make changes in Eula.txt and take note of query.port settings

After running the jar, an additional text file named Eula will be created in the server folder. Open it in a text editor and change the eula=false value to eula=true.

The players can also access a file called "server.properties," containing all important information and settings, like query.port, gamemode as well as difficulty and other.

#4 - The server may be started

Enter the jar launch command once more. Now, the server will begin without errors. You can join the server by entering localhost or your public IP address into the IP address box. Others can join the server by adding ":25565" at the end of your public IP address.

Only give your public IP address with trusted family members and friends. It could pose a security threat to your family and home if it is shared with strangers. Readers who are interested can find out more about how to set up a server clicking here.
