Minecraft Starts 119 Snapshots Adding Frogs And 3D Audio

We've had an earlier experimental snapshot of Minecraft's upcoming major update, but the regular 1.19 snapshot series has arrived with snapshot 22w11a. Mojang's Minecraft developers are now fully focused on the Wild update. You can expect weekly beta versions for Minecraft: Java Edition, where you can experience the new features as soon as it is possible.



You can now play around with the Deep Dark biome and frogs and Tadpoles, mangroves and mud blocks, as well as the Sculk systems in the new snapshot. You'll also be able to look into 3D audio that is directional in the sound settings, an option that "is best enjoyed with headphones".



The Deep Dark and Sculk were already included in the test 1.19 snapshot in February, but frogs as well as mangroves are now getting their chance to shine right now.
