Each week, just at the beginning of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider employees and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as: WRUP. Be part of us to see what we're up to in and out of recreation, and catch us within the feedback to let us know what you're playing, too!

Going to BlizzCon? No? Why not? It is the '90s! Everybody's going to conventions as of late!

Sure, it is in Southern California, and for lots of you, that's a great distance from dwelling. However man, this is the '90s. They have planes now. And a few of those planes even have air telephones. You may hook up your 14.4k modem to a type of and hook up with your favorite Warcraft 2 BBS, possibly play somewhat Legend of the Pink Dragon from 20,000 feet. Why not? It's the '90s!

What's that? You say it is not the '90s -- it's 2011? Nicely, in fact it is! I do know precisely what today is. See this Casio digital watch on my wrist? It has the day, week, month, and yr on it. Everyone's received one -- everybody, that's, who's living within the '90s.

BlizzCon, the most well liked event of the '90s, is arising in a mere two weeks. So at present, in addition to the standard query of "What are you taking part in?" (Tremendous Nintendo and Scattergories, obvi), I had our top-notch writers (lots of whom have Tripod pages) reply a bonus query: "What terrific advice do you might have for the go-go BlizzCon attending people of the '90s?"

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) This weekend will be spent ending my entry for the worldwide Writing Contest -- in other words, writing like a madwoman.

As for BlizzCon -- be sure that you may have loads of water along, the convention corridor is larger than it appears! Present up for panels early, check the events schedule and figure out what you want to hit upfront. Additionally -- comfy shoes. Seriously, you may be in your toes just about all day long. Comfy shoes are one of the best!

Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert) I will be going to a different wedding ceremony this weekend but will in any other case be on the PTR getting notes for an upcoming Shifting on tanking and healing the three new 5-mans.

As for BlizzCon, I've yet to go, but if I had to guess from past experiences with academic conferences and the like, have just one bit of advice: Do not put on heels.

Alex Ziebart (@AlexZiebart) (gplus.to/alexziebart) Been playing some Lifeless Island and hopefully will get a hefty quantity of co-op time in with a buddy of mine. Good coop games are way more uncommon than they ought to be.

For BlizzCon, take more shirts than you suppose you'll need. If you get super-sweaty, cease into your lodge room and alter shirts. It's better than being smelly and uncomfortable all day.

Chase Hasbrouck First WRUP /yay. Continuing my feral soloing in undertaking in WoW (when Kuwaiti latency allows), else playing SpaceChem on Steam. All the fun of programming with out the code!

BlizzCon: never been, but experience has taught me all the time to follow the three W's when touring: water, weight, and strolling (comfortably).

Daniel Desmond (@hazmacewillraid) I will be doing a little bit bit of PTR spelunking, attempting out the new dungeons and paladin modifications, however mostly I will be scratching a few more tallies into my wall with a plastic spoon, counting the days till Skyrim releases.

As for BlizzCon, this can be my first! As such, I'll be sticking to my guildmates like black leather-based seats on a scorching summer season day.

Daniel Whitcomb (@DanielWhitcomb) Since my mage and warrior are on hold until the 4.Three goes dwell, I could see if I can solo me some more tier 5 for my warlock. I am also playing some Aquaria and Bastion (once more) on Steam, so I could do some more with these games.

My advice? Hygiene. Particularly, double-, triple-, and quadruple-check your travel bag. In case you miss something like a toothbrush or a shaving package, chances are high you'll must pay an arm and a leg to exchange it.

Dawn Moore (@dawnwow) Not taking part in anything this weekend, however I'll be watching plenty of StarCraft 2 and League of Legends at IPL3.

Recommendation for BlizzCon? Hmm ... Waiting in the badge decide-up line isn't crucial if you don't must be the first one into opening ceremonies. Just decide up your badge while everyone seems to be in line for the ceremonies and you'll be in and out in 5 minutes.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) I'm still on my honeymoon in NYC, but once i get again I am going to in all probability begin AC: Brotherhood, since my AC2 disc is scratched and I don't assume I can end.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) (gplus.to/foxvanallen) I have been in Philly for a solid a part of the week, and I'll be staying in Philly all through the weekend hanging with my good friend Chester. All types of fun will probably be had. Like today, I ate Dutch food. We're a terribly boring people, we Dutch.

My BlizzCon recommendation: If you wish to grasp out with Fox, I recommend you get your request in ahead of time, because there are lots of you, very few nights in stunning Southern California, and only one Fox. Additional, I advise anybody who is not from an area with Jack in the Box eating places to go eat at a Jack in the Field restaurant. Oh my god.

Joe Perez (@Lodurzj) More LoL, I have a new champion to learn! Additionally more alt leveling in WoW and really trying forward to another select my adventure day Sunday; I will probably begin earlier (three p.m.) this week and go till 5. I'll even be livestreaming the adventure, so be sure to look at Twitter for the link and time!

Largest BlizzCon blunder: not wearing comfortable and supportive sneakers. Significantly, you stand and walk so much that you're a idiot if you do not. Also, the amount of ache your feet might be in might be stunning. Additionally, drink / bring a lot of water and try to eat outdoors of the convention middle. Tons of good local places to nom issues at which are a quick walk from the convention heart.

Josh Myers (@Elamqt) I am liking my military of premade and most important-transferred shaman on the PTR. I also have a lone mage premade who was arrange with spec/glyphs/keybinds/and many others. and then promptly forgotten.

I don't have any BlizzCon advice, though I warning all Wow Insider meetup attendees to keep away from eye contact with Fox. That's just widespread sense, although.

(Excellent level. This is how I choose my prey. -- Fox)

Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra) Hoping for some high quality time with my DS, but I am undecided, as I'll be working at my job, doing artwork, and it is Thanksgiving up here in Canada-land, so there's that. I will be heading out of town Sunday evening to see my household.

BlizzCon recommendation? Take the well being-check:

Convey a lot of water with you.

Wear comfy sneakers (with insoles if obligatory). Remember to stretch your lower back each hour or so!

Bring some protein-wealthy snacks with you -- pure meals bars, dry-roasted nuts (like almonds and cashews). Con meals is overpriced and stuffed with crap, and this can keep you fuller longer. /health nerd

Mat McCurley (@gomatgo) (gplus.to/gomatgo) I'm a broken document. League of Legends and WoW.

Tips for BlizzCon: carry a bottle of water if you'll be able to, take issues gradual, wear snug footwear, and purchase Mat McCurley drinks on the WoW Insider Reader Meetup.

Matt Low (@matticus) In a change of pace, taking part in on my Nintendo DS. Replaying some Last Fantasy VI! My faaaaaavourite Remaining Fantasy series -- ever!

Matt Rossi (@matthewrossi) (gplus.to/MatthewWRossi) My hand is totally screwed up now, so unhealthy I don't suppose I can play a lot of anything. (I'm typing this one-finger, hunt-and-peck fashion).

As for BlizzCon, I've by no means been.

Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) Some Sword of the Stars with some buddies, for (possible) final recreation earlier than the sequel comes out. We'll ship the old woman off in type. I will even be getting some critical Minecraft time in since my guild's server was down final week. Have to make up for lost time!

It will solely be my second BlizzCon, but the most important factor I picked up last year is to be really early to anything you want to go to -- panels or whatever. Except for badge pickup on Thursday night. It is open for hours and badges aren't limited in the identical approach seats or area is. No want to point out up early for that line; go later that evening and coast right through to pickup.

Michael Grey (@writegray) I'll be taking pictures weddings by most of the marriage, which is without delay thrilling and terrifying. I am not the pro of the crew, so I besides to spend a variety of time going "Hurrr ..." The weekend is the proper time to kick back, relax and take pleasure in some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Minecraft servers Cannot get enough raiding? Minecraft servers Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? No matter your favorite solution to play World of Warcraft, tell us within the feedback what you are enjoying this weekend!
