Although massage therapy is commonly associated with beauty salons or spas, it can also come directly from nature. The Greek word kerastos means "to heal" and massage is derived from it. The Greek word kerastos means "earth and rock, mountain and water" while the term "kara" denotes "earth, rocks, mountain and water", while "aesthesis", means harmony, balance or harmony in all things. Massage is one the best methods to relax and soothe tissues and muscles. It helps to loosen tight muscles and reduces pain. But it's not enough to soothe and relax. It is equally important that patients are able to identify their needs and feel in control. In a traditional massage, the practitioner sits, holds the client's hand, supports the neck, holds the wrist, and applies pressure to the various points of the body. Because of this "whole body approach," massage has been used for many years to treat ailments in the whole body, as opposed to simply focusing on the specific parts of the body. A.B.P. developed her own massage, combining her knowledge with the techniques of Dr. Boyesen, and other Ayurvedic physicians.

The practitioner performs some self-massage in a massage chair between massage sessions to help clients feel more comfortable. This distraction helps her clients to focus on the massage and not the fact that the chair is holding them up. This requires that the practitioner is skilled in self massage and can distract her client without losing her focus. So, while doing the actual massage, she takes a break and performs a brief self-massage using her fingertips. This allows her clients to feel relaxed and allows her to concentrate on the massage.

To further enhance the therapeutic experience, A.B.P. A.B.P. integrates gerda boysen's theory on biodynamic psychology. A.B.P. is one example. incorporates stretching and elongation of the muscles as well as other types of massage, such as cranial therapy, in order to promote the full body alignment and physical wellness.

A.B.P. is required to take these courses. teaches her students a rigorous course of study that includes not only anatomy, but also nutrition, physiology, neurology, and biodynamics.
